WHAT TO EXPECT

Hey, we know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at First General a great one!

At First General, It’s a New Day! Everything we do is all about loving God, loving God’s people, and loving our community! When you arrive, you will find friendly volunteers to help direct you and answer your questions. You’re invited to show up a few minutes early and experience the New Day Café. If you have kids ages infant through fifth grade, plan to arrive about 15 minutes early to check them in securely to one of our amazing kids environments (you can pre-register below). WORSHIP

At First General, we hold strong to the value of worshiping God together through songs that give praise to the name and wonders of God. Our band plays music that is upbeat and celebratory, with a modern vibe. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Our time of music is approximately 20 minutes.

TEACHING

The teaching at First General is creative and non-boring and is approximately 40 minutes of biblical and practical teaching that you can build your life around.
Pastor Stewart presents the message in a style that is up-front, frank, and challenging. So prepare to hear the Scripture taught in ways you may have never heard it before…you might not ever be the same!

KIDS

From start to finish, we strive to make this your child's favorite day of the week, so we use skilled staff and volunteers, technology, fun activities, and excellent secure environments to communicate the timeless knowledge of our loving God. We believe this makes First General a place your child will be begging you to bring them back to each week!
